The Fry Bread House: Reviews & Ratings
Small place with only a few inside tables but a lot of room or front. Fry bread is made to order so it takes a bit, but it's worth it. The bread is delicious and the birria was wonderfully flavorful. Servings are large. The cinnamon sugar frybread was a wonderful dessert. Highly recommended.
We had a great experience at Fry Bread House! The food came out faster than I thought and everything was cooked perfectly. It was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. You can really taste the quality. Definitely coming back again! Birria Fry bread is my favorite so far.
My photos definitely don't do this place justice. "The Ultimate Taco" was good and a nice change of pace from traditional tacos, but the "Loaded Cheese Crisp" was absolutely excellent! You can tell how fresh everything is by the first bite. It's a dish you can share with others, but you might want to keep it all for yourself. If you're coming with a group, be mindful that seating might be very limited. Other than that, the staff is friendly and the food, especially the cheese crisp, was incredible!
We discovered The Fry Bread House thanks to an Arizona Adventures card our daughters gave us for Christmas, and what a great find it turned out to be. When we first arrived around 6:00 PM, I’ll admit I was a little concerned—the restaurant was fairly empty and there were hardly any cars in the parking lot. But as soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly woman behind the counter who took our order quickly, all while efficiently prepping to-go boxes. That’s when I thought, okay, they probably do a lot of takeout. We grabbed a table in the small indoor dining area, and within just a few minutes—seriously fast—our food arrived. My wife, daughter, and I were all shocked at how quickly everything came out. I ordered the red chili beef taco salad, my daughter had the red chili beef taco, and my wife went with the green chili beef taco. Every single dish was absolutely amazing. We were genuinely blown away by how good the food was—fresh, hot, and full of flavor. As we were eating, the place started to fill up. It turns out we arrived just before the rush. By the time we were finishing our meal, there were about 25 people in line, all the tables inside were full, and more customers kept coming in. When we walked out, the parking lot was completely full, cars were parked along the street, and two cars were waiting for spots to open up. It’s clear why—this place is the real deal. Looks like we’ve found a new favorite spot for a quick, incredible bite. Hopefully we can time it just right next time to avoid the line, although even watching it move, it was clear they run a tight ship: the line moved fast, and food kept coming out hot and fresh. Highly recommend.
Excellent fry bread tacos and vegetables, derive from native American cooking in the Southwest. Very casual indoor and outdoor seating. Large portions, so if you're not a big eater you might want to consider splitting. Recommended.
The frybread was very good. The taste of the ground beef was awful . The green chili meat was good. The red chili meat was okay. The people were very nice and friendly. The amount of time it took to order the food and receive the food was amazing! It was just a minute or 2 and the presentation of the tacos were very appealing. The dining room is pretty small but we managed to find an empty table. I wouldn't go back to have a taco, but I would go back to have the frybread with powdered sugar and honey.
This is place is good. I got the ultimate taco with chile verde. It was good as well as the red chilli. I also got a pozole with the “chumuth” which is basically a flour tortilla. The pozole is actually really good and probably more flavorful than traditional Mexican pozole but I think it’s a rip off. They give u a little bowl which is probably about 8oz or less and the chumuth was not worth it. It was cold to the touch and tough and chewy. Not easy to eat. Service is quick and they bring your food to the table. Everyone was nice and friendly
Get here. Flavor on flavor on flavor. Ultimate taco, burria taco, posole and dessert: cinnamon sugar. I assure you, Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives found the jackpot. That fry bread is so good, you can eat it by itself. So light, airy and fluffy. Get here, early. Long lines for real, but worth it.
